Which one can we get the most from? The thing of it is we only
want one that we can do everything on, without having to go to three or four applications to do one project. Let's see which one is the best and which one we will choose to do this on. First of all they are both free, that is a plus right there, so lets start with LibreOffice. It's a word processor for the writing part we will need, its a spreadsheet program, similar to Microsoft Excel or Lotus 1,2,3,. Based on information from available to the user it has a number of unique features, including a system which automatically defines series of graphs, they refer to this as Calc. It also has a presentation program, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint, I think this is referred to as Impress, which will be really helpful when we have presentations to do Sometimes we have to look for ways to draw things in with whatever we are doing, and with Libre Office you will have a vector graphics editor and a diagramming tool, this is similar to Microsoft Visio which has comparable features to an early version of CoreIDRAW. It also has connectors that you can use between shapes, this will help when we have to make flowcharts. It also has an application designed for Math. designed for creating and editing mathematical formulae These formulas can also be incorporated into other documents, such as those created by Writer or Calc.An application designed for creating and editing mathematical formulae. There also is a database management program, that is similar to Microsoft Access. The Base of LibreOffice allows the creation and management of databases, preparation of forms, and reports, that in the end will also be used as a front-end for various database systems, including Access databases. Now on to OpenOffice.org.
Open Office is pretty much the same as Libre Office, they both have the same equipment to do the same task with. The word-processing application, writes, manages, and formats text with all the same things as Libre, multiple fonts, colors, tables, lists, automatic numbering, headers, footers, and variable fields.

Calc is an electronic spreadsheet that uses formulas and functions to manipulate numbers in rows and columns. Some of those features are Sorts, filter, charts, and macros, and this is just a few of the features.

SQL querying and reports are fully supported. We can create databases with the Base program by filling out the forms on a wizard or designing one from scratch.
Impress creates presentations from blank or pre-existing template. It can apply a consistent format to all slides as well as include animations, video, and sound.
Math
With Math, you can create and edit mathematical formulas. It is most often used from within Writer to display equations that use the correct formats and symbols.
Draw
Draw is a vector art program that enables us to design not only art but any flow chart that we might need. It also has a large library of clip art and many features of desktop publishing software. Both of these images were drawn with the Draw part of Open Office. Personally to me either one of these would be rather awesome to use. They both seem to have everything and so much more that a student or anyone else that would want to use it, to make anything they need to make. I believe I would really enjoy using either one of these applications to do my Math, Spreadsheets, Draw, or use the Word Processing for any documents that I might have to do for my classes. Businesses could also use either one of these applications, they both are free and have everything that a business might need to inform their customers, vendors or business partners. I will leave it to you to pick the one that you would rather use. You can download Apache Open Office at Open Office.org and Libre Office at LibreOffice.com and they are completely free.
